Ruba Hachim is the Regional Director of Modern Work at Microsoft’s Customer Success Unit, covering the CEMA region and leading a technical community of Customer Success Managers and Cloud Solution Architects who enable customers and their employees to work securely from anywhere on any device, across 109 countries in Central & Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa.
16 Years at Microsoft, Ruba started her career in 2008 at Microsoft HQ in Redmond, WA., assuming various roles within the Corporate Marketing Group, Brand Strategy & Design team as well as Xbox US Retail team. In 2012, Ruba relocated back to the Middle East region, joining Microsoft MEA as the Country Marketing Manager of Microsoft Qatar in Doha, and later moved to Dubai in 2017 as the Director of the Microsoft Technology Center in Dubai winning #1 MTC Worldwide, while also leading the rest of MEA MTCs in Istanbul and Johannesburg. Ruba achieved Circle of Excellence Global Gold status in 2019 and was the recipient of the Platinum Award for the Most Valuable Contributor WW in 2022.
Ruba is a graduate of the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, where she received a Master’s in Communications of Digital Media & Bachelors in Business Administration majoring in Marketing. She graduated with Magna Cum Laude and Cum Laude honors, respectively and later continued her academic journey completing various business and marketing courses with Kellogg’s School of Business and obtaining technical accreditation through Microsoft’s Technical Skilling as well as Women in Leadership training. Ruba also is a graduate of the Microsoft Women in Leadership Programme from Duke University.
Born and raised in Damascus, Syria, Ruba is an avid technology evangelist championing young female talent in the tech industry and empowering diversity and inclusion in all its forms. She is passionate about education, human rights and sponsoring orphans to provide them with a brighter future.
