Regional Head of Android in Emerging Markets of Google

Nour Al Koudsi is a highly accomplished professional with 18 years of diverse experience spanning the healthcare, asset management, and technology industries. Nour graduated with an Honors Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto, the top-ranked university in Canada, where he specialized in Human Biology and majored in Physiology. He furthered his education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from INSEAD in France, which consistently ranked among the world’s top business schools.

Nour’s professional career began in healthcare, where he introduced nutraceuticals and functional/organic foods to the UAE market, catering to the diabetic population, at a time when such foods were uncommon. He later joined Wasl Asset Management Group, managing and developing Dubai Government’s key assets.

For over a decade, Nour worked at Google, where he led Android partnerships for EMEA’s Emerging Markets, enabling some of the world’s most significant companies to digitize their businesses. His accomplishments at Google include launching innovative solutions such as Direct Carrier Billing, which enabled an ecosystem of app developers and telecommunication companies to thrive and monetize, and Android TV, a cornerstone for TV/set-top box (STB) innovation that enables smart home solutions. However, his most significant achievement was enhancing emergency services by enabling the launch of a life-saving feature, Android’s Emergency Location Services (ELS), on Android smartphones. This feature provides first responders with timely and accurate information during emergencies, helping to save lives.
